Meet Wren Egender, Founder of Picnics & Porches
At just 17, Wren Egender is bringing a new kind of charm to Virginia’s event scene. What started as a love of beautiful gatherings and DIY design has blossomed into Picnics & Porches—a luxury event styling company serving Hunt Country with heartfelt creativity, stylish sensibility, and a passion for making moments feel special.
Wren is a student at Foxcroft School, where she is a Bedford Scholar with a fine arts concentration.

Wren is guided and mentored by her mother and business partner, Katie Barchas Wilson, a respected leader in the event industry with 13+ years producing everything from high-profile galas and grand openings to community festivals and corporate brand activations. As a Certified Tourism Ambassador for Loudoun County, Katie brings deep local insight and a passion for showcasing the best of Hunt Country.
Together, Wren & Katie blend youthful energy and professional polish—delivering Pinterest-worthy experiences that are both personal and picture-perfect.
